SOMEBODY TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE TO BY PASS THE BUILT IN AMP (how would i do that)IF NOT THE RADIO WONT SOUND RIGHT OR WONT SOUND AT ALL IS THIS TRUE???(95 TOYOTA AVALON)

there is two ways metra makes a plug with rca s on it or buy pass the amp completely toyota amps are 25watss the stereo you are putting in is probably 50watts x4 find the amp and look for blu with yellow stripe brown gray wires on it unplug from amp and wire on harness there.

This could be true.

To ensure proper sound I would recommend getting aftermarket speakers as well. The reason for this is that most stock stereo systems are setup in a way there they all work together. Removing one piece doesn't produce the "right sound". I would suggest that when you install your new radio, and install new speakers as well and bypass the stock amp completely.
