I'm 20 and I've had CD for three years and have been on remicade for most of that time every 8 weeks. However, last infusion I had a lot of side effects after for a couple weeks. My doctor wants to try Humira and see how that works for me. Anyone taking or has taken Humira for CD?

Although I don't have Chron's, I have taken Humira twice a month since mid 2002 (for Rheumatoid Arthritis) and have experienced no adverse side effects, other than severe shrinking of my savings account. Before that I was infused with Remicade for 2 years. Both have proven to be exceptional in pushing my RA toward (almost) remission.

I find Humira to be much easier because I can do it a home and don't have to sit for 3 hours with an IV in my hand at the doctor's office.

If I were you (and can afford it or get financial assistance), I'd do it. I've heard that many people who have Chron's have been greatly helped with Humira.
