Are you talking about regular crunches? Lay flat on the floor with the soles of your feet flat on the floor as well (so your knees are pointing up). PLace your fingertips on your head behind your ears. pick a spot on the ceiling to look at that is approximately above where your feet are (basically you want to be looking up, but not straight above your head, this way youre focused on an angle). Don't take your eyes off that point. Lift your head and shoulders off the ground without applying pressure to the back of your head and keep your elbows back (you should never see them). Also, keep your back straight, DO NOT round your back. Lift yourself only about 70% up, not all the way. the goal is the keep the contraction in your abs. Take at least 3-5 secs to lift up and 3-5 secs to lower. 10 crunches like that will go a lot farther than 40 going really fast.
