Most vehicles are driven 15,000+ a year, they say the average is like 12,000 but i don't know that many people who drive that few of miles and don't live in a city where everything is close. So you figure its a little over that 15,000 miles/year average but its not too bad. Try to talk them down a little on the price.

thats not bad at all i have a 2001 it has 170.000 miles yes you read that right. only thing it had to have done was alternator. and a new battery. but these are mostly highway miles. besides the usual maintenance oil, changes i do them every 2000 miles now instead of 3000 because the truck is getting old. i replaced the tires. and had a tuneup. this old truck is doing just fine its my everyday driver for work. i think if ya get one with 80,ooo miles you should be allright by the way you have a right to have your mechanic check it out.

well....at approx. 80 miles you are to inspect your camshaft....even though i have never known anyone who has done this or will do this.
This millage is not bad....but all SUV's will vary a great deal in millage...so it really depends on where u look and how lucky you really are. However you should really get a diesel since they produce more torque, BTU's when compared to gasoline unit for unit of measurement, twice the compression ratio, and if you decide to run Bio-Diesel then you only spend $1.50 gal. So get a Cummins. Gasolines produce 120,000 BTU's Diesels produce 150,000 BTU's
