take him out to the spot and when he goes there, reward him and give him a treat. over time he'll realise that that's the best spot to go ccs he gets treats when he goes there and it'll be his regular spot.

Whenever your dog pees, soak it up with a paper towel, and place the paper towel where you want the dog to pee. Show your dog this, sometimes you have to place your dogs nose right down by it. Be nice not forceful. you may have to give your dog a treat when it goes in the area you want. and probably lightly scold it if it goes in a place you don't want. Do not hit the dog or scold to harshly. eventually your dog will get the idea. This is a great way to house train your dog as well. My dog goes pee anywhere in the yard but poops in one corner of my yard. Be patient, and it will work. Depending on the type of dog, it might take awhile for your dog to catch on, and sometimes they will get it right away.
also you can take your dog out on a leash everytime it has to go, and take it to the spot you want it to go in. Don't forget to reward your dog for doing this, even if its a simple pat on the head.
You could try both of these together also.

Get your dog to train by hiring a trainer or if your dog is a smart type of dog, like a german shepard or a retriever take it outside in the morning at the spot you want and do it in the afternoon, noon night before bed time and that should helped.

Hi the only way you are ever going to get him/her to do that is by fencing an area just for the dog as other than that it's mission impossible...I have a garden that is ours & one that is the dogs & they are never allowed in the part that is ours for the simple reason that to a dog one bit of grass is just the same as the next & it is all there for marking as territory...Regards Jake

Take your dog out on a leash, he will then have to go in the spot you pick. I dont know how old your dog is but when my friend had a litter of shephard pups she would always take them out in a pile of leaves to go. They learned on their own and would run to the pile of leaves when taken out. In fact her own dog is all grown up and when there is a pile of leaves he goes there! Maybe you could try this with a different item? But try the leash thing, I do this with my dog and she goes but make sure you pick up his mess or else he wont want to go there!

You can get a thing from some pet stores and catalogs that will attract them to potty in that specific spot. If he is an inside dog and you let him out to go potty you can put a leash on him and lead him to where you want him to potty.

Take your dog out on a leash to that spot for a couple weeks. When they go there, make sure to praise them. If you do it enough, it will become a routine for the dog.

OK, now your question makes more sense. Put him on a leash and always walk him to that spot. Praise him when he goes there. Take some ammonia watered down and pour on the other places (it will not hurt him if watered down), this will discourage him from returning.

if u dont believe in leashes then the whole yard is his bathroom. if the dog is small and lives in the house then it's easy to train because it's easy to distinct pee pad and floor. but outta the house... it's gotta be hard. i wanna know too.
good luck

You have to pick it up sometimes. You are too anal. Dogs unlike humans mark their territory with the anal glands. So they like to spread it around.
