I am living in warmer climes at the moment - and may be attending a wedding in the uk at the end of March. What do women wear to weddings at that time of the year - bearing in mind the temperature?

Do you have to wear a dress/skirt, or would nice black trousers be ok?

It could snow, or it could be beautiful, I'm afriad you will need to be prepared for both, as well as the obvious rain! Smart trousers would normally be fine, it would depend on the person hosting it. Take scarf, gloves and an umbrella if you will be outside for any of the time. I would probably prepare 2 outfits and decide on the day, or choose an outfit you can dress up for warmth e.g a dress which you can then wear with a top underneath, boots and tights instead of heals and a pretty jumper and smart coat. My birthday is late march and last year I was sitting outside the pub in the afternoon, howe3ver a few weeks before it had snowed!. Have a great time!

It can feel bitterly cold in March in England - colder still the further north you go. It's probably warmer now in November than it will be then. It will depend too what form the wedding is to take. You may start by sitting in a very cold church, then stand around outside freezing for 90 minutes afterwards while photographs are taken among the daffodils and crocuses, only to go off to a reception that is nice and warm, with dancing afterwards that will really heat you up. So I would wear a dress that would be OK to dance in, with the most gorgeous coat I could afford over the top of it, and if you like hats, the best you can afford. I love hats! I have loads! For God's sake, someone invite me to a wedding!

March can be very cold and windy, so you need warm clothes , a long over coat , and yes a black trousers with a nice top/ blouse with nice accesssories will take you anywhere , or a trousers suit would be suitable as well .

It is your wedding day, you should wear the Kilt, with lots of love and caring this could be your one and only time to wear it at your wedding. Years from now you don't want to have any regards about your wedding day. I had a very expense white dress at my wedding, boy did I feel over dressed at the court house. However, looking back I love thought that I did what I wanted to on my wedding day, I looked great! Best Wishes and Congratulations!

Don't wear black....it's bad luck...and only used for funerals in the UK.

you're basically saying it's the brides funeral

Trouser suits good. Something you look smart in, but not evening wear. Simple blocks of colour with a splash of something else always work well.

Temps start generally at 50'F - 60'F

You could still wear a nice dress / suit but with a ice overcoat. You'll be inside so the coat will come off anyways ! tights might be a good idea mind !

A pair of black trousers with a smart top and jacket would be fine. Don't forget the hat!

A trouser suit would be fine, but black maybe a little harsh, maybe something softer.
