Pagan Rebirth, that's because Christianity has been around longer. Give Islam another 600 years, and you'll see.

No, Protestants have less blood on their hands than the Catholics. But you are correct to say they are bad as well. One has to look no further than Elizabethan England.

Arabs and later muslim abrabs slaughtered western folk from Europe when they visited the middle east, which then gave rise to the crusades. If you study authentic history the conclusion is that islam has more blood on its hands by far. The crusades were a defensive reaction. Oxford recently came out with statistics concerning the inquisition. During its time, less than 200 people died by the inquisition, the courts were just, crime was very low, and the dangerous criminals were put in they're place. 99.8 percent of people bash the inquisition, but they do not know the facts. They probably get they're education off the movies they see. Morons!

Lots of people, groups and powerful individuals have been very nasty throughout history... nowadays neither mainstream Catholicism or Islam are noticeably vicious, the only vicious ones are those trying to stir up religious hatred (see above).

I think it is a matter of individuals. If a catholic or a protestant or a muslim has a psychological makeup that leads him to vicious cruelty, then that is what will happen. Nothing to do with the religion.
However the religion should work on counterbalancing the wierdos within.

We can't generalize it this way each religion has good and bad people and depends on the circumstances which surround the rolling governments, representing or has a majority of such a religion.
e.g I can't blame Christianity for what Mr. Bush and Blair are doing neither their people in general speaking.

Catholics any one that can allow the abuse of children and turn a blind eye, gets my vote at being the most vicious. But then they have proved this throughout history.

I don't have a problem with Catholics. They're alright. And I am a Muslim, so I love them as I love myself. Why not try to ask questions that bring people together? That would be great.

Neither. Every religion in the world (with the exception of Wicca, Buddhism, and Hinduism) has blood on their hands. And lots of it.

Both have their own share of historical violence committed to humanity. However, more would say it's Muslims because it's current and people have either short memories or hate history subject.

Historically in the past, many crimes were commited in the name of Christ, and some Popes wre 'bad" Popes, and some Bishopes were bad Bishops, and abuses were made.

That is not the case today man, afte the reformation, the church in the counter-reformation reformed itself in the council of Trent, even getting to Joh Paul II asking forgiveness from many groups the Church hurted in its past. tell me. How many catholics plotted 9/11? How many catholics do you see knowcking at your door triying to convert you? how many catholics do you see in the name of the Church leading wars or attacking openly other faiths? None! I reaeat to you: none!

The church had bad elements in the past, that comited crimes in the name of the church, but the past is dead...what counts is the now. And now, We catholics want the peace and concorde among all men. We accept all our christian brothers as members of the one body of christ, and as our brothers in Christ. We accept all men as sons of the One god who created us all. See the life of John Paul II and Mother Teresa, just to name a few modern ones, please! How can you compare Jonn Paul II to Bin Ladin or Mussaoui?

We catholics are not murderors, and we are Christians

And not all muslims are actually like bin Laden. Islam is a very spiritual religion that teaches to submit to God completely.

Besides that, if we are gonna come to say who has moe blood, everybody at a moment in their history has had blood in their hands, not necesarily only catholics or muslims, but all mankind.
