It not only is possible, but it is the only way.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ, our personal Lord and Savior. All the rest is in the details.

Now, in the book of Acts, Paul tries his best to stop people from following his teachings or the teachings of Apollos. Paul tells them they are to follow Jesus teachings. But alas, then and today, people seem to feel a need to follow a human and that is how we get different denominations such as Methodist, Prodestant, Catholic, Baptist and on and on it goes.

I have studied and continue to study and the more I read Gods word the more I know that I am to stay away from denominational exclusionism and stick with a biblically doctrinal non denominational church of God and God alone.

Do you mean "Protestant"?
Yes, it is possible. To become a Christian, all you have to do is to pray to God saying that you realize you are a sinner, you accept Christ's substitutionary death for you on the cross, ask Him into your heart, thank Him for forgiving you, and promise to live for Him.
being a Christian does not equal church membership. There are hundreds of denominations within the Christian church, and I would be willing to say there are church members out there who are NOT Christians.
I'm an evangelical Southern Baptist.
Get a good translation of the Bible (NIV, Holman, Contemporary English) and read the book of John. That may make it clearer for you.

Yes it is possible. "Protestant" typically refers to all non Catholics within Christianity in a general sense. However, groups that were not a part of that historic separation from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century can be considered Christians and not identified with the Protestant reformation.

Yeah, you don't have to have a denomination to be a Christian. Being a Christian is more about having a relationship with God first and foremost. Having a church (which usually means you have a denomination) helps you understand things and gives you somewhere to fellowship with others who believe as you do but it's not a requirement for being a Christian.

The word is Protestant. It refers to those who protested the Catholic church and their claims. It is only a name used to describe peoples feelings about the catholic church. I am a former Catholic and do not share some of their beliefs however I'm ot really comfortable with the title protestand although thats what many people would use to describe me. I feel the thrust of our message is to proclaim Christ more than protest other things, although defence of the gospel is entirely permissable.

Yes The Christian Essenes are neither of them. Thy are the original Christians who went underground at the time of Christ because they where being killed in standing for Christ. They have lost teachings of Christ. But actually most of thees extensions are sentemental (just believve in Christ and you are saved) It doesn't exactally work like that. Believing means following his teachings and if one does not know what his teachings are then how can they follow? We must have the truth of what Christ said or we will not get the result. (back to the spiritual abode. go to www.essene.org for the original teachings of Christ

I've heard people call it "non-denominational Christianity."

"Christian" is a word that means someone who believes in only one God, that Jesus is the one and only Son of God, and that Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected. Within Christianity, there are divisions or denominations that differ in smaller points of theology. "Protestants" are the group that broke away from the Catholc Church abou 500 years ago. Within that group you have groups like Lutherans.

ofcourse it is, besides the arithmetically greater groups of catholic christians, orthodox christians and protestants there are many more. Besides she might be feeling like a christian but not identifying with any group at all. why not? i personally like many others consider faith more defining then church, wich is nothing but an institution anyway.
