I slipped and said old girlfriend name to my new girlfriend on mistake?

Me n my new girlfriend was talk n she didnt want to go to the mall with me so i was pleadin her over n over then i slipped n said my old girlfriend name.

I was going with my old girlfriend for 1 year n 5 months n when she broke up with me i was sad bout it for two weeks then i started to talk to my new girlfriend after the 4 week of being without my old girlfriend....i think it was because i was so use to sayin that name that y i slipped but its the first time i ever called her that n now she thinks i still have fillin for my ex which i dnt but i can c y she mad but she should be able to for give me cause its my first time doin that but if i was doin it continuosly i can understand y she mad but i dnt know wat to do someone help me dnt really have a father figure for this kind of ****

Of course .. when you're going out with someone for a long time you're going to be used to saying her name. My boyfriend accidentally called me by his ex's name. I was a little hurt at first, but what can I do? It wasn't his fault. After he explained to me that he went out with her for two years and saying her name was a habit, I felt a lot better. Tell your gf it has nothing to do with how you feel about her or your ex. I can see why she's hurt, but if she doesn't forgive you, she probably has some insecurities (feeling like she can't measure up). I have to say that I completely understand why she would be mad....put yourself in her shoes, you gotta admit it would bother you too! Um, just sit down and talk to her, if you truely don't still have feeling for your ex then tell this new gf that....explain to her that because she was being difficult about the mall that you guess because she was argueing with you that it just triggered the other girls name.
