you just multiply your price for .07 and you get the sales tax then you add this amount to the price of whatever that you buying. For example $55.00
X.07
_______
$3.85
Then $55.00 + $3.85 = $58.85

The calculation is the same wherever you are. The rate and what is taxed are the only things that change. Take the total taxable sale and multiply by the tax rate.

Example:
Subtotal: $10.00
Tax: 10.00 x .07 = .70
Total: $10.70

BTW, I just answered a nearly identical question earlier this week. The Search for questions box may save you some points.
