Every morning it's the same old story. The alarm clock goes off, which usually means a return to the land of the living or, if you like, to the upright postion so typical of our species. And all to the most unpleasant sound in the world. With this washed out look on your face, the clumsy way you shove your feet into your slippers and these quite inhuman like movements and sounnds, nobody would think you are about to emnark on fifty minutes of transcendental importance to your life. Fifty minutes which can mean the difference between finding a job or not, getting promoted or not, being dubbed right or left wing, managing to close a deal or not, getting a loan, finding a life partner or losing them forever.... .All this and more greatly depends on what happens in these 50 minutes which start to tick away the moment you stand before your other self, that on the other side of the mirror. They end as soon as you close your front door behind you when you leave home on your way to the outside

As I concern, I think the text is kind of weird...it's complicated to find out the meaning in both languages. Maybe you can give us the whole text so you can catch the idea, which is more important than translating!
