Cavaties are caused by bacteria found in your mouth and in the foods you eat. They bind onto your enamel and begin to erode it. If you leave them untreated, then they will eat through the enamel and into the dentin, and eventually get to the pulp (nerves and blood vessels) in the tooth. If you do not treat them, you will have a lot of pain and need a root canal. You may even lose the tooth.
So, it is better to pay the $150 per filling now to fix the cavaties, then to pay $1500 later for a root canal or $2000-5000 for an implant/bridge/other restoration.

if you leave cavaties untreated they will rot out even more and hurt really bad. and when you go to chew food it hurts so much you want to yell. if you wait to long the dentist will say you need a root canal but it is very possible that a rotten tooth will crack. I know. it happened to me.

Dear jazy,
If you leave cavities untreated your teeth will rot and you will probably have to get fake teeth.
That would be terrible, if you are under the age of 12, I understand how you feel. I never want to get my teeth looked at because I'm scared. If your older then 12, this might not be useful to you.
Have a good day!

Your tooth will rot out and you'll need a root canal. It hurts like heck when the nerves get exposed. I would highly suggest getting your cavities fixed.

Better ask your dentist about it! You're dentist will scare the hell out of you that you'll have cavities treated right away. Also, use Crest White Strips sample for whiter teeth, or learn more about dental health tips and product details by browsing this site http://www.upkb.com/crestwhitestrips.php

The tooth will eventually die. The process will be VERY painful.
Then you have to have the tooth pulled and you can have an abscess in the gum AND in the bone. Get it treated.

The cavity will keep on growing and growing (usually very slowly) until it reaches and kills the nerve that conncts the tooth, and that done, the tooth falls out.
