Variety of possiblities, though you think it is fuel/fuel pump related I would have to say those possibilities include:

1.No fuel in fuel tank.
2. Fuel line some how got broken so the fuel pump is not incontact with fuel.
3. Clogged fuel line. you somehow got gunk in the fuel lines.
4. Clogged fuel filter.
5. Fuel pressure regulator has gone out. Fuel is coming out your tank, circulating around and then going right back into the tank.
6. Bad fuel pump

Check what hsueh010 says, and also check your oil. If it is overfull or smells like gas, you have an internal leak in the fuel injectors, lines, regulator or what G M calls a nut kit.

first of all has the air-bag been deployed?there is also a reset switch for the air-bag you'll have to check the owners manual for location to reset if all that's ok make sure your getting fire at the spark plug (pull plug wire off and stick screwdriver in plug wire and hold about 3/8'' from metal on the engine and have someone crank, should get a spark,be careful can shock you)if it's getting fire then the best thing to do is have it put on a computer(engine diagnostic)hope this helps
