i am madly in love with my boyfriend and I feel he loves me too, I met his family we plan holidays.... but he still hasn't told me he loves me. he gives me long hugs and i have a feeling we both wait to say it to each other, but i really would like him to say it first. he is very blokey never talks emotions or stuff or he's hardly ever very romantic with words.

Six months!!! You haven't even told him you love him or him you!!! You should be pregnant by now, dropped out of school, kicked out of the house, and selling drugs. What is with you young kids??? Don't you know how to f**k things up right?

I've been with my bf over a year and he still hasn't said it!! I'm 24 and he's 38... For ages I thought I was nuts for continuing on with this relationship with me constantly verbalising my love and him never. Now I'm still holding out, hoping its around the corner but I know he loves me...All his actions tell me he loves me, his eyes etc etc but like your guy he is not into emotion stuff or anything mushy!!

You say it first... for sure!! You're allowed to tell.. don't worry if he doesn't say it back, if he wants to be with you - that can be enough for a while... I don't know how long is reasonable - maybe i shld ask a yahoo question!!

........maybe if yuh be a little bit sneaky........like, say some thing like,.....honey pot, do yuh still love's me!.......and when he say's "yup"!.....then you've just landed yuh first home run......Yuh see,...real blokey bloke's are not real used to the,...oohh mmyy darlinggg, i love youuu, kind of stuff, so if yuh can think up quirky way's to get him more used to it, gradually it should become easier for him to feel less strange and unblokey about himself. When he does, then hopefully, he'll give it a bit of a shot or two....

Six months isn't a long time, but he should express his feelings, some men don't communicate well. If you are unsure of his feelings ask him how he feels.
I would then make yourself less available, give him some space and see what his reaction is.

He sounds like me. When I first started dating my ex-girlfriend, I was very shy. It took months to become fully comfortable with her. Most of the time, she had to make the first move.

So yes, tell him you love him. Once he's accepted that fact, then he'll tell you he loves you too - because he might be thinking exactly what you're thinking: that you might not love him as he loves you.

Good luck :)

Sure Y not tell him first.... what's wrong wit that? I know you want him to say it first but he might be thinking the same thing and waiting for you to say it. Just tell him and be proud bout it. Good Luck. And if he really loves you he'll say it back.

sure take a chance...but wait till after the holidays. You don't want to be uncomfortable for holiday events with the family if it doesn't go according to plan..ya know what i mean.

You might want to say; I really wonder what it's like when two people can say I love you without worrying the other won't respond in kind.

try a casual "love ya" before you part sometime, just look for his reaction. if he says it back, do it the next couple times, and then move on. if he doesn`t try it the next time, because maybe he didn`t hear you. but if he doesn`t say it back the second time, don`t try it again for a while. don`t worry, it`s not because he doesn`t like you, some guys just get kinda flustered/nervous when females say stuff like that.

Tell him you think you may be falling in love with him. It's a great way to give him the chance to say he thinks the same.
