I just wanted to know if you could cook a pumkin and how if you are able.

Yes, the easiest way to cook a pumpkin is to cut it in 1/2, scoop out the seeds, lay flat side down on a jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees F until fork tender. Cool until you can touch it and scoop out the pumpkin inside. You can make pumpkin cookies, bread, pie, and pumpkin roll with your own recipes. It can be frozen in bags or boxes at this point to use later too! there are some great recipe sites out there so don't hesitate to use them!

I agree with the roasting method, you get the sweetest, most concentrated flavor that way. I like to do the same thing with butternut squash and then make a soup out of it. I top it with walnuts and dried cranberries. Yum!
