the way it is abused by immigrants who have not paid a penny towards it. Why should they have treatment for free? We are all busy paying our NI contributions.

The nhs is in a terrible state, and the docs and nurses are excellent and work extremely hard, but one thing does annoy me and that is the amount of people who have operations cancelled at the last minute. Despicable!

At the moment nothing - I've just been in A&E with my 7 year old who fell of a horse. They saw her within 20 minutes, she'd been xrayed within 35 minutes, but then had to wait 60 minutes for her arm to be put in a sling (she has a fractured bone just by her shoulder). At all times the staff were extremely helpful but obviously extremely busy. From my experience this evening I have nothing but praise for the NHS staff tonight.

It might be selfish but the fact that I have only been to the doctor about one thing in the past 3 years about one thing and they kept giving me the wrong tablets and diagnosed it wrong about 5 times and thats it I have never had an operation, I don't have a dentist, never stayed overnight in hospital etc so what am I paying national insurance for?

The decline in the quality of standards of nursing care. "Care" is not what it used to be when nurses used to talk to patients, show concern & compassion. It stems from the changes that happened in Nurse Education in the 1990s & has gone too far now to get back what was once the envy of the world.

The nhs deserve our support not criticism. They do a great job considering the cutbacks at the moment.
