I know I read somewhere that most leftys started out as twins, but reabsorbed their right handed counterpart.

Is this true?

Soit's not a wives tale, it's a scientifc proposition...yes, real scientists have said this. Does anyone know more details? Or even just have silly lefty stories?

That sounds like an old wives' tale.

I'm left handed, so are three or four other people in my family. I doubt we all started off as twins. I doubt this is true, although I seem to remember hearing this before.

I've also heard that left-handers are descendants of Royalty. This is obviously not true either, since up to about 50 years ago they discouraged left-handers & taught them to use their right.

I love to hear all the stories about left-handed people.
