It's a tough Age. I have one too. i find that if I prepare him for how i expect him to act (tell him that in the store I expect him to be quiet and we are not buying toys that day, for example) helps him learn and he responds better when I remind him.

I am also ALWAYS consistant in punishment. First a warning, then a second warning with a reminder of the upcoming punishment, then if he does it again he gets the punishment. Sits in the corner for 3 mins. When i sit him down I remind him why he is being punished. I shut off Tv , radio and make sure he sits. At the end of the 3 mins I remind him of why he was sitting there and then he knows he is to say sorry then he gets a hug and I tell him that Ilove him and he is a good boy and that he just made a mistake. I NEVER tell him that HE is bad.

The funny part is when he gets punished now his little brother (18 months) goes and sits with him and holds his hand. I don't know whether to pull him away or let him support his brother

Honestly, whatever the hell you want. I'm 22 and I listen to everything from John Mayer to As I Lay Dying, Eric B. & Rakim to 2 Chainz, The Album Leaf and Phaeleh to Skrillex and Armin Van Buuren. Literally everything, even country every once in a rare while.

I had one of those, he's 14 now. Let him know you are the boss. Follow through on discipline and be consistent always. Do not let him get away with it or you'll be miserable for the next 15 yrs. Do not discipline in anger, but prepare him what the consequence will be if he does this or that. Simply let him know what is expected. Praise him for good behavior and don't yell. please. He'll get it but you have to be consistent. Oh, and pray!! :)

Give him time out, since words aren't getting through. Don't have a set time limit, just say you can get up when you're ready to listen. Be prepared for a screming fit, but it will only be a time or two.

It will take a lot of patience, but you have to stick by your guns, you have to mean what you say and say what you mean. You need a time out chair and everytime she gets out of it, put her back in it, she will really be testing your patience to see who will give up first. If you still are having the same problem, take her to be tested she might be a adhd child! Good luck!

First get on to him/her. If he/she doesn't listen tell him/her that your going to spank him/her. if he/she still does it then spank and keep doing it until he/she minds that will stanighten him/her up. I did it to my kids and they haven't done it sense. And they won't hate you they'll get over it. And plus don't barley spank them just keep doing it until they mind. Works every time!
