There are four types of cancer, and from those four types arise all the other hundreds of sub cancers.
1. Lymphoma - Cancer of the lympth nodes (Hodgkin's Disease, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma)
2. Leukemia - Cancer of the blood (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, etc)
3. Carcinoma - Cancer of the surface tissue of body organs. The most common type of cancer.
(lung cancer, colon cancer, breast, etc)
4. Sarcoma - Cancer of the bone and soft tissue. A rare cancer. (ie. osteosarcoma, fibrosarcoma, rhabdosarcoma)
Some brain tumors could also be considered a type of cancer.
It's also possible that there is another type of cancer that shares the characteristics of Carcinoma (malignant tumor) and adenomas (benign tumor). It's called Carcinoid Cancer.

There are MANY more than 4 types of cancer. You can get cancer of just about any part of your body. So I'm not sure what you are talking about? Stages? There are 4 stages of cancer. 1 being the lowest and 4 being the worst/terminal.

Many more than 4 types of cancer. Thre r different stages though. This site has an explanation or the different stages.

there are numerous different types of cancers .........some are brainstem , brain , lung , stomach , mouth , throat , cervical ,testicle , leukemia , skin , colon , liver ,pancreatic . you can get cancer about anywhere, there is 4 stages of cancer . stage 1 , stage 2 , etc...
