Your friend is just trying to freak you out. Yes, with people who are embalmed (not all people choose this), their blood is drained out of a vein from the leg or arm, and is replaced with embalming fluid (all at the same time). As for cutting off the head, that's not true. They will only open the skull to weigh the person's brain if they suspect something during an autopsy.
P.S. ONLY ANCIENT EGYPTIANS REMOVED INTERNAL ORGANS AND THE BRAIN!!!!! In these days and times when they bury someone, all their internal organs are left inside the body, only small parts are taken out during an autopsy as pathology specimens for cause of death.

no the wrist is cut and some times the ankle the blood and body fluids are drained then replaced with embalming fluid the mouth is then stuffed and the nose is packed with cotton
I'm not sure if the brain is still removed but if so through the nasal cavity.
the only time a head is cut open is when an autopsy is done regarding a stroke or tumor

No, what they do is insert a trocar, which is a big, needle, in an artery and another, in another artery. One is hooked up to a pump and the other to a container of formaldehyde. As the pump pulls out the blood, the formaldhyde is suctioned into the arteries, to replace the blood.
The internal organs are NOT removed, unless an autopsy is required, even then, they are put back into the body cavity.

no, they don't cut off the head, but they do drain the blood, and put a chemical in the body that keeps it from swelling and stinking. Talk to someone that works in a funeral home, I'm sure they could help you understand a lot

Yes, they drain the body of all fluids and replace it with embalming fluid to preserve the body for a viewing, funeral and burial. They do it through a vein--not the head. Bodies decompose and rot very quickly and if they don't...in 2 days they'll rot and smell really bad.

The blood is replaced by embalming fluid by pumping the embalming fluid throughout the vascular system, and disposing the blood.

They may and replace it with embalming fluid. I don't think they cut off the top of your head though.
