i have a spot on my leg which was just a small flat freckle but has grown into a raised mole. does this need checking out by my gp?

I would go and see your gp. I had a few freckles that changed and my doctor took them off in a minor surgery clinic at his practice. It only involves having a local anaesthetic and maybe a couple of stitches. He would then have it checked out at the Pathology Lab. A couple of mine have been "active" which means that if they'd been left they'd have turned cancerous. Once they've been removed there is no need to worry.

Yes, I would do so. It's probably nothing major to freak out abt or over, so don't worry. Just take the needed precaution. It's definitely better to be safe than sorry!

Any spot that changed suddenly is allways worth getting checked out asap.

I would deffently say yes go and get it checked out. You never know these days what can happen to your body specially freakles after being in the sun. Just to put your mind at ease I would deffently say go and get it checked out.

get it checked out ... its probably nothing in which case you will be able to get on with life without the nagging worry ..
if you dont go , you will only worry and thats not good ..
