My boyfriend and I shared a beautiful love together but after a few months split because although we got along like a house on fire, when we didn't get along we just could not see eye-to-eye and things got nasty. 6 months after our split we are talking again and yes, once again feel in love with one another. He wants me back but I told him that I don't think it will work because we will end up having the same problems as before, that I am devastated and will always love him. Then he emails me back and says....

What does his response mean? Is he mad, hurt, angry? I don't understand it.

He was disappointed that you came to your decision so quickly. In his mind, he probably didn't think it was all that bad. Conflict and friction could be the formula for his parents relationship and he didn't see that much wrong with it. You on the other hand, feel life is difficult enough without having too much drama at home. I applaud your decision for knowing what you want and not letting your love for someone force you to be victimized by the object of your affection. You chose to love him at a distance rather than hate him up close after a few years. You were thinking long term, he was thinking short term.

I think he is saying that he thought you would take longer to think it over but he accepts your decision if you are sure of your answer.
You can always call him and ask him yourself, to avoid any miss-understandings. That`s what I would do.

He wants to go out with you again. He feels a lot for you AGAIN!!!
He understands that you might not want to go out with you again and he's telling you that he knows. Wether you like him or not, you have to tell him how you feel. I would go out with him again though
