Well...... there is this guy i like at church and my mom won't let me be around him. When ever i try to get around him my mom will do what ever she can to make sure that doesn't happen. What can i do to get my mom more comfortable with me being around him?

Explain to your mother that it's better that you meet a guy at church rather than on the street, or some loser or druggie, you know? And, depending on how old you are, try and tell her that you think that you are old enough to start talking to guys more, and maybe dating, providing that you're not already.

I know it's hard but try to trust your mom, her instinct is to protect you! She has lived a lot longer than you and she knows more, I know how you feel and you don't see things the way your mom does but try hard to see thru her eyes. There is a reason why she does not want you around this guy. Try to talk to her about the reasons, don't sneak around and lie because that only hurts you in so many ways. Keep a good loving open relationship with your mom (who will be with you a lot longer than any guy) Try to work it out with your mom as this will be the first of many guy issues.....Remember mom knows best!

You need to tell your mom what a good guy he is. And maybe you can get him to meet her after church sometimes. She will probably like him if you give her the chance to meet him.

hey i agree somewhat with the answer jennifer gave you. also there is a couple of things you should try try to make you mom meet him and she if she could get to know him a little bit better to see if he is alright in her eyes, parents usally know best, even though i dont agrre with some of the things my parents do but its part of life. just try to introduce her to him and see what happens but be respectful to your mom she loves you she more and likely wants just whats best for you.

how old ARE you? If you are 18, make your own decision, but be respectful of your mother. If you are like, say, 12, then listen to your mom, she probably knows more than you do.

you are only 16 so she is only looking after your best interests. What is it that you are wanting to do behind her back that you cant do in front of her? Slow yourself down there my dear. There will be plenty of time for all that stuff later on
