I think that God is more powerful than Satan, and if you ask Jesus to become Lord of your life, your soul will not belong to the devil anymore.

If Satan decides to put it on eBay, sure.

Sorry, you presumably asked a serious question, and I shouldn't have answered flippantly. I personally do not believe in either a metaphysical soul or a metaphysical Satan, so no such transaction, either way, is possible. If I were a god-believer, however, and believed that God was more powerful than Satan, and God can forgive all sins, then I would answer that God could redeem your soul if you asked.

Yes. David Berkowitz (the Son of Sam) was a satanist, who sold his soul by making a contract with Satan with is own blood. Now he's a born-again Christian. Your soul can be taken back, but for most of those who have sold their souls (like Marilyn Manson) they have no desire to get it back.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

You do not have the right to sell your soul which God made and Christ paid for to redeem through his sacrifice upon the cross. However, it is your decision. I like the Bible verse, "God is an ever present help in time of need." (Psalm 46:1) Notice that it says "ever present" He is in the present. Though you once may have mumbled some curse, you can break that curse by your Present confession - statement of faith. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.

It's totally in your hands in the present time.

Jesus already paid to get your soul back. He paid a pretty high price too.

That is a good question. My first instinct is no. But an even bigger question is - "Is it POSSIBLE to sell your soul to the devil?"
