If you go on a cruise to the Bahamas you will have maybe 2 or 3 port stop options. Most cruise lines do have their "private island" destination in the Bahamas where they take the ship for a private beach party.
The Better place to go is the Caribbean which has options for cruise ports from the Western Caribbean stop of Grand cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Jamaica, Balize, as well as Panama Canal and Costa Rica. Then Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises go to Puerto Rica, St Thomas and St Johns, St Martin, St Croix, ST Lucia, Tortola, Barbados, Antigua, Grenada and the ABC islands, Aruba, Bonaire, and Carasao. The Caribbean has many more optiosn for posrt stops even though many of the islands look the same.

Hey! It strictly depends on how many nights you want to take on board but I would recommend for the first time doing something like: Baltimore, Maryland; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Samaná, República Dominicana; Labadee, Haití; or Miami, Florida; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Labadee, Haití; Miami, Florida or Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Nassau, Las Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Fort Lauderdale, Florida The cruise line depends on what kind of style you are looking for. Royal Caribbean would be my choice, if not you have Carnival, Celebrity, NCL and Princess are in the top options. Hope to have helped!

My overall preference is the Southern Caribbean. Those islands include Aruba, Dominica, Barbados, Grenada etc... I feel they have the most to offer in water activities and less chances of a hurricane!!! If you need more information or if you need help, let me know at dena@thecruiseplanner.com
Thanks

Sorry - when I saw your initial question, I was going to tell you about my dream cruise, but now that I see your choices, my letting you know of my excitement of a cruise down a major Chinese river probably won't help out! Sorry....
