i had a blood clot it was in my upper thigh it got so bad after 2weeks i couldnt even crawl to the bathroom any more and went to the doctor...yes it usually would start in your calf sorta on the inner side of it and it hurts the pain should be constant but might get worse with movement or with time...when it becomes the biggest problem is when it moves up because if it travels to your heart, lungs, or brain it can likely kill you before you know it...there is such a thing as a superficial clot which is not in a main artery and i believe arent deadly...either way the key is not to rub it or move to much you dont want it to dislodge from its place and kill you...go to the doctor immediately you may need some injections to dissolve this if you do have a clot

Did you suffer a leg cramp before that sensation? I had a very painful and scary leg cramp that was trying to turn my foot. I used Stopain analgesic with 6% menthol and other ingredients like eucalyptus and peppermint oil. It stopped the cramp right away but left me sore and then feeling faint ripples of movement in my calves. Even my middle toes feel like they raise which scares me. Did you have a sudden reaction to something that made you jump and run or step out of bed too fast. My chiropractor said its coming from the pelvis. So he is adjusting it, Try laying on a flat surface (bed is okay) and gently stretch your sciatica muscles by raising one knee at a time close to your chest then straighten it hold for 25 seconds . Then move over your leg with knee bent crossing over the chest and hold for 15 20 seconds, Last move your leg still with knee bent all the way the other side til flat as possible. (you'll look like the number four) also put your palm on the sciatica area and press in even if it hurts. This is suppose to relax the muscle leading all the way down the leg and foot.. Sounds like so much to do but it really helps. Also small ziplock bag of ice and keep on lower back of your sciatica for 30 minutess 3- 4 x a day. This will reduce the swelling or flare up causing all these symptoms. I really hopes this help. Take care and I pray all have a pain free time.

A blood clot in the lower leg is usually coincident with swelling, redness and the leg is usualy warm to the touch. However I had none of these symptoms when I had a pulmonary embolism 4 years ago , ang I almost died. The clot travelled up to my lung from my left leg- GO TO THE DOCTORS ASAP!

Yes, your leg will hurt. It will also usually feel hot to the touch. You need to get it checked ASAP. If it is a clot, it could break loose and go into your lung and kill you. It is not something you want to think will go away in a few days. Go get it checked out. They will usually do a doppler flow test to check your blood flow in your leg.

Yes if you have A blood clot it will cause severe pain, and could cause a stroke or some other serious problems. If you suspect that I would get an ultrasound on the problem area ASAP.
