Acupuncture is based on the concept of chi, this sort of energy that makes you active -- not part of religion per say, but not like Western science.

Homeopathy is worthless, like religion. Acupuncture occasionally works, but usually doesn't.

I believe that religion is mans attempt to define and understand God and that being spiritual is mans attempt to commune and connect with God. It is my opinion that some people try to impart spiritual dimensions to practices they do not really understand. Both have a basis in scientific fact and can stand on their own whether you believe in them or not.
