If it is set up as a teacher/professional site, then by all means so email her there. If it is more of a personal site, that's about the same thing as calling her at home. It's stepping over a boundary line. Unless you have a good personal relationship with this teacher, I wouldn't do in that case. Usually the school does not monitor a teacher's work email account unless they have a reason to. You also could try calling her and letting her know that you have a few things you would like to discuss privately in the near future.

I think that would be innapropriate unless of course she has told you that she has an account. Doing a search for her on MySpace and e-mailing her through that account would be an invasion of her personal life. My suggestion would be to call her. You wouldn't have to worry about any of the other staff catching wind of your issues and you wouldn't be invading her privacy. Hope this helps. Peace!

I was just wondering the other day if my sons teacher had a Myspace account. Its not weird. Its up to her if she accepts you and you can always leave her a message as to why you want to add her. Not weird.

I wouldn't see it as weird. I have written to so many people about things like that before. Did she give you her myspace account webpage name? Like www.myspace.com/whatever? If you do email her through that without her giving you the web address than she might get embarrassed or mad that you know her mysapce adress.
Call her at home. I have done that many times.

It depends on what is on her myspace account. Does she not have a regular e-mail account outside of school and myspace? If not then go ahead and e-mail her myspace. A teacher is a teacher 24/7 just about

I think it's neither just so long as you tell her ahead of time that you would like to discuss some school issues with her in "private" at her personal email address and, unless you are friends and would otherwise exchange emails unrelated to school issues, you keep it on topic. Good luck.

If that's the only way that you can be sure your sons teacher gets your message, NO!!! When my son was in school, his fourth grade teacher gave out his pager number, e-mail and house number. He made sure we had a way of reaching him, other than at the school. He was good at calling you back, too.

I honeslty think its not a good idea. I think you should personally call the teacher and talk to her that way. If you want you could talk to them in the "my space" thingy and ask them if it is OK to talk to them there and ask if there is a more appropiate way to communicate! Either way you dont want them thinking your werid hehe
