Yes they can play and some play bloody well but I can't see the day where woman catch up with men. Although I believe there is now a woman playing in the Italian professional leagues. They'll Always be one or two quality players but that isn't enough to bring in large quantities of fans, sponsorship, television deals etc. I'm not putting woman down or being sexist but the standard of woman's football is very poor, I actually do bother to watch woman's football when it makes a rare appearance on the tv but you get the same standard of flair and passing from sunday league mens amateurs and I'll stop and watch that too, female goalies also seam to be dreadful, I've yet to see a good one. But in danger of sounding like a woman who watches mens football, some of the female players are bloody lovely to look at!

What the heck are some people still thinking? Is there any real reason women can't play football. We live in the 21st century and women do what men do in all walks of life.
I follow to an extent Women's football. I've been to matches as well. In Cyprus there's been a league since 2000 and each year is gaining more members.
So, I think it's good that they play and for the cheeky guys and those who feel they can't play go back to the 20th Century & stay there.

i think that women have the same right as men when it comes to football because some women are better than men at football. take arsenal ladies for example this season they have played 7 times this season and have scored 42 goals thats a great strike rate for any team

I think it's totally fair for women to play football because even though they're diffrent from men, they can be just as strong, but you never know until you see them play a good game. Guys just think they cant play because they always see them as "oh i broke a nail" but have they ever seen the tough side of them i dont think so. So i think women shoul play football.

Watch women play football is like watching artifical grass grow. It's that boring. There's not enough action in a game.

it alld epends on what kind of football..
american: i think that women should be allowed to play becausewe are just as good as men in it. as a matter of fact i know people (women) that are better than the men on our high school football team like me. so yes i think they should be able to play football

of course, women playing football are the hottest types of all. what can be more sexier than girls knocking eachother out, trying to score a goal? its the beauty there, i tell ye. wonderful, wonderful thing football is to women.. and yes, women is to football.XD
