With all the bad stuff happening in the world at the moment,do you think it's about time the second coming took place?Surely we need him now while there's still time?
That's if you believe in all that stuff of course!

If we have lived through the Book of Revelation (no "s") then please explain to me. The bible tells us that at the end of the revelation Jesus will come back and set up a millenial reign on earth, if that is true and as you say we have lived through Revelation then please explain to me why there hasn't been a Millenial reign of our Lord? The bible also describes in the Book of Revelation that it will be a time of Great Tribulation, so great that it has never been witnessed before nor will it ever be again, so great that unless the time was shortened, which the Book of Revelation describes as lasting 7 years, that unless these days were shortened no one would live. So if what was written in the Book of Revelation has already come to fruition then how can you reconcil the passages that speak of this?

Everyday we look around and things get worse and worse by the droves. I just read where a woman is on trial for killing her husband and dismembering the body into several suitcases, then sending notes to the police to throw off the investigation. We've seen in the last month or so at least 4 instances where a gunman has gone into a school and murdered people. With Iran and N. Korea getting nuclear ambition and the threat of these weapon's being used, all around us things are getting worse and worse by the minute. So if you have read the Book of Revelation then how can you say we have lived through this already? The sad thing is that for as bad as things are getting they are only going to get much worse. Hope you are prepared. I hope you all are prepared.

Is it time for the Messiah? I hope so, but on the other hand if He did come today there would be a lot of people in trouble.

There is no rush, no rush at all. If there is a Messiah with a promise of a wonderful eternity, he, or her can take all the time they want.
The time we each spend on Earth is but a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a millisecond, when compared to an eternity.
My big argument with those threatening eternal HELL, is that no matter how nasty people are during this life, it can never justify an eternal punishment in what feels like an eternal fire, with eternal pain.
But with the prospect of eternity to offer, it really doesn't matter how much people suffer on Earth, when the rewards for the suffering are eternal.
I am an agnostic, but I could see the purpose of suffering being to constantly remind those in bliss (heaven or whatever) How bad existence could be. There would not be guilt in the heaven like place, if they knew all who suffered were going to join them, for ever.

In some part of the world it has always looked like the end is nigh, so all the bad stuff that is going on now is nothing new. Jesus made it clear in the bible that his return would be a complete surprise at a time we will not expect, so from that respect it could be any time at all. Christians are expected not to dwell on this second coming, but to be ready so we are not caught napping when he returns.

Its up to us when the end of the world will come. If we take care of Mother earth and live in harmony with each other nothing bad can happen to us. Maybe its time for us to realise we are part of a bigger picture. As one we can move forward, as separate groups of bitching religious people we only break down progress. IMAGINE

The next time you speak to one of Jehovah's Witnesses, ask them to explain the difference between Christ's coming (which is expected by many charismatic faiths) and Christ's presence. Basically, Jesus Christ has been"present" in kingdom power since 1914. If you know your histroy, you will understand how significant a year that was. Also, this specific year was prophisied in the Bible book of Daniel and the book of Revelation.
The Revelation reference particularly focusses on chapter 12, verses 7 onwards. a war breaks out in heaven and Satan, who has had access to the heavenly places (Compare Job chapters 1 & 2), is finally banished from the before the presence of God. He is banished to the earth, where his evil infuence is fully contained and focussed. This means that he has a comparitively short period of time (for Satan it will seem a very short period of time having already lived for countless ages) before hie is fully imprsoned so that he can no longer influence anyone to do his wicked work.
So, yes, the answer to your question is that it is nearly time for the Messiah to take control of the Earth's affair, but there are a number of other considerations to take in before that finally happens. peoples lives are at stake, because they have to make a choice between this system of Satan's and God's kingdom with Jesus Christ on the throne. Do you want to see that day? Ask Jehovah's Witnesses for a full explanation and honestly listen to their reply.

I don't believe in all that stuff, but...
Can you imagine if a messiah from any one religion turned up, and therefore proved that this religion was indeed the 'true one' - the followers of other religions would make this messiah their public enemy number one, and would kill him/her at the first opportunity!

According to the Kabbalah (jewish version, not new age/popular version), HaMasiach (THE Messiah) cannot come until he is no longer needed.

HaMasiach will come when there is world peace and Torah is written on the hearts of all men the world over.

When it is time, nothing will stop him. Before then, nothing can bring him.
