Is there a limit to the number of children a welfare recipent can have?

I don't think there is a limit and I'm glad. It's not the governments place to tell you how many children you can have. However they can stop giving you more payments as your family grows. Saying the poor can only have so many children, or worse yet saying they shouldn't have any children is talking Eugenincs. What next? Mexicans or blacks can only have one child per family.
And the people that say people just have children to get the money don't realize how little the government gives. They don't give you a luxorious life. They give you enough so you won't starve. And for some folks, poorness isn't a temporary condition or a choice.

I have heard that if you are on Welfare and you have another baby they won't pay out more money for the baby. Medical insurance yes, and maybe even food stamps but nothing more. I wish people would stop having kids just to get more money. It's sad. If you can't take care of the children you have you shouldn't be having more. Not necessarily talking about you. I realize you could just be asking in general but if not then you should wait until you are more stable to have another child.

To discourage people from having more children to get more welfare money i think it is 3 kids gets you the same as 5.
or 10. after so many u don't get more money

no you can have 25 kids what does that have to do with anything? it may effect the amount of food stamps you get...if you get cash they only give you a certain amount if you have 1 child or ten so no it doesnt matter either way you wont get rich off it

I wish there was a limit... why have more kids? they cost more than what you can get. Besides the kids suffer from this situation.
