I used to get those. Man, does that hurt! I got rid of them by swishing Listerine. It burns, but they would go away by the next day.

Abreva, Releev, and a few other OTC products work. You can save a lot of money and put some alcohol on a Q-tip and rub the surface as hard as you can stand it for a few seconds. HURTS LIKE HECK, but this is pretty much the same as the $10-20 products mentioned above. You might also want to get some OraJel or other benzocaine 20% product. Rub that one the sore first and after a couple of minutes, do the alcohol rub. You can also apply some benzocaine before a meal if it really hurts to eat.
You can also rinse with Maalox before a meal. (yuck) You can spit it out, though, instead of swallowing it. It coats them and helps relieve some of the pain.

Rinse with a mixture of warm water and salt especially after eating. Try not to eat anything too sour or spicy since that can aggravate the sore. You can also try using an over the counter ointment like orajel or anbesol.

its called a ulcer - they are perfectly natural and everyone gets them from time to time. Try gargling with salt water (this is pretty grim tho), or buy a over the counter medicine i.e. bonjela - these are a local anestetic which numbs the area, i have to be honest tho - they do sting a little at first. Should be gone with in around 10 days so stay strong - the end is near.

I have an excellent home remedy for ou- eat carrots. I'm not sure why, but if you eat some carrot sticks (without salt, of course) when you have a canker sore, it will clear up by the next day. My family has done it for years and it works every time!

These things are very painful as you know . Rinse with warm salt water frequently to help them heal. They usually last about 10 days. You can get mouth rinses that will numb the pain. Ask the pharmacist.

those are caused by too much stomach acid.....take some antacid first...then take some peroxide and clean the sore.....then get some abesol creme....not the regular stuff...make sure its the cream because it stays on longer....I think it is in a blue and white package instead of red and white.....the abesol will help with the pain...the peroxide will help with the infection...and the antacid will help with the underlying cause of the ulcer....Good Luck

Take a teaspoonful of baking soda, dip it into a glass of water, then swallow it, then drink the water.
This will neutralize the acidity in your mouth.
If you keep getting them, see a doc.
