NOWHERE in the bible does it say what religion God was... God preaches nothing but Faith, Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding. I would call it Faith or a personal relationship w/him.
People quote scriptures like: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, and turn it around and say that they're religion is better than the others,,.not directly in that way.. 1st of all Religion is man-made. Why do we need all these different beliefs to pray to one God? Why can't everyone just come together? God is about unity, & equality, He is universal. He loves us all equally.
There's alot of confusion today in this world b/c of al the separation of churches or mosques, etc. Why can't we put it all together, combine the beliefs and faiths and come out with one true place of worship? After all every faith wether it's christian, muslim, jew, etc worships the one and only Higher power..
I love my God, and he borns me beautiful visions of Knowledge, wisdom, understanding, & equality..

Religion is just an organization of the faithfuls. A reason why each of them claims to be the true way to God. So, If I were you, you could just stay a believer of the Bible. Read and ask God for guidance to see the truth and never join any religion. Not even if Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life. Since all Christian religions claim the same for him, maybe you should also keep in mind the it was Jesus who said that many deceivers will come carrying his name and saying he is the Christ "DO NOT FOLLOW THEM". Which means none of them should be trusted. Trust yourself. You alone is responsible to God, You can only be the way to your own salvation. Read Deuteronomy 24, Ezekiel 18-26 and you will find that JesuS is not needed to die for anyone's sins.

The Bible clearly states that God called out people to be is own, first the Jewish nation, then He brought in the Gentiles whom He called. I am sorry, but all faiths do not worship the God of the Bible. Allah is not the God of the Bible.
The main issue is Jesus, what do you do with Jesus? He stated it clearly in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by Me." It is through Christ that we see the Father. It is only through Christ that we receive forgiveness and are redeemed. He was and is the Jewish messiah and the messiah of all those who place their faith in Him and the work on the cross. Many faiths claim to believe in God, but what do they do with Jesus? He claimed to be God, accepted worship as God, was the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, died and was raised from the dead. He is God, very God, from the beginning of time through eternity. If you do not accept that Jesus is God, lived a perfect life, died for the sins of His people and rose again, then the doors of Heaven are shut to you.
As for God wanting world unity, check out Gen. 11:5 -9. There will be a time in the future when the world will be unified, against God and His people, then will come the end.

God favored the descendants of Israel above all others (or so they claimed; it's hard to take that seriously when the Old Testament has them conquered and made a subject people several times, and warring among themselves at other times).

God preaches nothing because he doesn't exist. God never wrote any books. That's why religions push "faith" so hard. They don't really dare use reason or they'll lose members. Thinking for yourself is strongly discouraged in the church.
