what is the proper time for microwave popcorn?

i watched my boss put a bag of popcorn in the microwave at work the other day. he put the time for 3mins and 10seconds. he burnt the thing.

let you know he put a second one in and once again put in for 3mins, and 10 seconds. he once again burnt it.

i always cook mine for 2mins 30 sec.
mine comes out purfect.

2 minutes 40 seconds for me . . it probably depends on the popcorn and the microwave.

I put it in 3mins but before the 3 mins is done well turn the bag the other way around and give 40 sec more and thats it no brown pops,

i tell you, it takes skills just to pop popcorn. i have burnt my popcorn so many times i stopped trying. it all depends on the the popcorn and the instructions on the back only gives you a general time, so the better u know ur microwave, the nicer the popcorn!! i put mine for 1 minute and 45 sec.

I also cook popcorn at 2 minutes and 30 seconds but I think it depends on the microwave... but all in all I hope you enjoy...

i always just push the popcorn button. which is about a 2 1/2 minutes. but it depends on the power of the microwave

I believe it depends on the type of popcorn that you buy
If you buy orville Redenbacher, it’s 2 min 30 sec if it’s some crap from dollar general
Then it’s more like 3 min then you have to shake it up and try it to pop the rest for some
Seconds after until it is to your liking. .

Every microwave is different. I usually stick the bag in and wait until I don't hear any kernels popping for about 5 seconds.
