For example: in Islam The Quran recommends (it recommends it does not force) that moms breastfeed their babies for at least 2 years. I wondered if there is anything like that in your religion.

Thanks!

i didnt knew that there was that kind of verses in koran, because i have a lot of friends, islam -muslim women who breastfeed their babies from birth.they didnt mentioned that part as far as breastfeeding is concern.any kind of religion, women breastfeed their child for the essentials to immune the body system of the child and for the growth, in simple words every women wants their babies to be strong and have depensive weapon from illness, thats the reason why breastfeeding is important. breast feeding is case to case basis, mother cant breastfeed her baby because she's under medication, or her nipple is inverted, or a mother cant produce contineously the milk, or the milk stopped within three days or maybe the milk from her breast is not suitable for the baby's conditon. there were many factors, disadvantage and advantage of breastfeeding. to top it all breastfeeding applies to every women.

Isn't it beautiful how Islam covers everything even breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is so good for the baby and the mother for so many reasons. God and His wisdom to say to breastfeed. How can anyone deny Him?

I had little milk and was only able to breastfeed for 4 moths with both my children. But I was thankful for the time I had.

I think the American Medical Association recommends at least one year.

I didn't know that religions had opinions on breastfeeding.

That's wild.

I breastfed my kids for 12 months.
