Maybe you aren't drinking enough water. You need at least 8, 8 oz. cups of water a day. When you don't drink enough you are smothering your blood cells. There is a lack of oxygen. I was doing really well drinking my 8 glasses a day and I was full of energy. I have stopped drinking the water though against my better judgment. I have never really been a fan and I love Pepsi. I end up drinking too much soda and not enough water. I need to get my act together too. It's funny, I know for a fact that more water means more energy but for some reason I choose to ignore this fact. Not very smart huh...

I've lost 40 lbs since May with diet and excersise. But I struggle with a similar problem. My favorite thing is to find excuses not to excercise: I'll go tommorow or I'm hungry now (can't excercise right after eating) or it's dark outside or I had a stressful day or I don't have time today. For me, I have trouble working out inside the house. For some reason there are too many distractions or comfy places to sit or lay down. May I suggest trying getting out of the house...either outdoors or a gym or class. This way you can't find an excuse or get distracted. When I'm a couple blocks from home on a jog I can't just stop and lay down I have to keep going or at least jog home. The other thing is that even though you may dread it remember how you feel after your done. Your endorphins are active so you feel REALLY good and a lot of times it gives me more energy to finish up anything else I might've put off by using the time to excersise. Maybe even find a friend to work out with or who you can call when your being naughty. How old is your son? Maybe you and he can find an activity to do together?
Hope this helps...whatever you do don't give up! It's easy to say, "Well I've strayed this far so I might as well just quit" . But if you mess up just get back up again and try not to be so hard on yourself. This is how I quit smoking (cold turkey) :)
Good luck!!

I hear ya sister!
Here's what works for me;
-make an appointment and get someone at the gym to hold you accountable, make it so that if you don't show up someone notices.
-go with what you can actually do instead of what you think you should be able to do. Stop shoulding all over yourself.
-don't think about "I don't want" to or "I can't" or bla bla bla, just go to the gym (or whatever kind of exercise you do)
Personally, I hate going to the gym, and I hate sweating, but I have people at the gym that I know and like and they notice when I don't go. They are very encouraging too.
Mostly, go easy on yourself. I mean, do what you can, but don't beat yourself up because you can't do it all. Living healthy is not a goal, it's a lifestyle-you know that.

Try exercising first thing in the morning before going to work. It looks to me that you lost your motivation because of your duties throughout the day. When you exercise in the morning, you feel fresher and more motivated, and you won't risk making excuses if you put it off till after work. Take it really slow too....10 mins is good as a start and work your way up. Best of luck!

People who plan their weekly meals will be more successful at losing weight than those who don’t. Plan your dishes to add in healthy carbs such as special potato and wholegrain pasta, vegetables and lean proteins, buy every one of the ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted you can eat out or order in.

Suck that in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting your desk or making the evening meal. This will help to strengthen your abdominals and your core, and provide one step closer to some sort of flatter stomach.
