Type A Negativ gave you a crappy answer, her suggestions suck and her German spelling and her translations are incorrect.
I think the other answerers ideas were pretty dumb, too, I assume you don't want to call your bf 'angel', 'lovey' or something else so mushy.

Here's what I think of, when I hear nickname for a gothic skater type:

Bussel - slang, kiss
Schmusekater - snuggly, male cat
Chaos - chaos
Ein Und Alles - one and only
Edelstein - gemstone
Schicksal - fate
Frosch/froeschlein - frog/little frog
Teufelchen - little devil
Fussel - fuzz
Träumer - dreamer
Motte - moth
Giftzwerg - angry gnom
Hasenpfurz - bunny fart
Katerle - little, male cat
Vulkan - volcano
Kuschelmonster - snuggle monster
Keks - cookie
Wurzel - root
Ratte - rat
Zottel - slang, tangled

I could come up with a lot more, if you tell me some of his characteristics.

Mitternacht (meet-er-noct) is German for Midnight.
Fruer (froyer) means 'fire.'
Engel (on-gel) means 'Angel'.
Gedanfen means 'Spirit'.
Leibhaber means 'Lover'.
Sorry for the stuff I couldn't pronounce. There may be some bad translations, as I am not a speaker of German. If you like a name I would check on it first.

meine liebchen (mine-a leeb-shen)
It's means my dear one, my love (my sweetie).

Or, beificher. (bye-a feeckh-er) It means bee f#&*er, implying that his weiner is so small, he could use it to impregnante a bee. Well, it's more funny than cute or doting, but still...

I guess at worst, you could go to freetranslation.com and put in any words you wanted to call him and hit 'english to german' free translation...
