Does anyone outside of ireland even bother to learn it.

Im from ireland and we dont say we speak gaelic we say we speak irish. Im fluent in speaking irish. Its practicly my first launguage even though i dont live on the west of ireland

You mean Gaelic? Yes, a lot of people have taken the time to learn it.. Just like Clint Eastwood's character was doing in "Million Dollar Baby".

I took an intro course in University ( in Ottawa ) i've got Irish background and i was interested in learning the language.
I think it's an awesome language it's just not all that easy to pick up quickly!!!!~
I wish i stuck to with it though, ( course was only offered the one semester ... and then i graduated )
If anyone's got any decent websites i can surf to learn, i'd love to be able to learn more!
