Was it not Christ himself who modeled the act of continuously moving amongst the sinners and non believers in order to spread his message? If Christians insulate themselves from non believers how do they spread the message of Christ? How do they help those they beleive need to experience Christ's love?

The questions I am referring to are not those in which someone is hurting and seeking advice.
I do understand that many of us are trying to avoid the ugly comments of non believers. Christ ran into some uncomfortable moments with the same type of people. Especially at the end when he had the memorable moment with the two theives. Oddly enough, he didn't duck out of that fate by hanging with Christians only. Now we all know we aren't being called on to go to that extreme right now. Seems the least we can do is put up with snide remarks (kind of walk in the park by comparison). After all, those non believers are the ones we are supposed to be hanging out with.

Insulation isn't necessarily relevant.
A lot of people want answers to questions regarding decisions they are making on their faith walk. The questions aren't always relevant to the experiences of others. For instance, somebody asking a question about proceeding with a denominational intermarriage probably can't get much help from someone who has no information or experience regarding this.
It would be like a Jewish person asking a Buddhist about how to prepare his or her son's Bar Mitzvah. The Buddhist may be well meaning, but probably can't respond usefully.

You are correct on this. We are to wittness to all people, and cannot insulate ourselves from the world. But, the are many reasons that people says CHRISTIANS ONLY after their question. Many have serious struggles and are looking for serious answers. and they dont need someone coming on here to mock them, tho they still do. One guy just asked on this site if jesus was Gay, and another asked if Bannas were made in Jesus' image. If you are someone truly seeking help, you dont want all this bullonie. But, they have a right, just like we have a right to go on their sites and try to lead them to God. I would never write Christians only, cuz that would draw every pervert out there to trash me. This is the world today, a world that has pretty much abandoned God. We can only forgive them and keep praying. But, you are right, we do need to be in the world, but not OF it. Trying to give truth to a world that has no clue about God, and doesnt want to know. BUt, we dont have to hang out in their dark world and be a part of their perversions. In the world. not OF it. Keep asking questions, its good to learn

Hi Toffee, good question.
I am a Christian who dosen`t always get it right, and I would love to have an honest open discussion with someone with open-mindedness,but we seem to be using this forum as a tennis match,to see who gets the most points, sniping at one another isn`t too constructive is it,and is it even possible to share views without insulting one`s beliefs.

I think certain questions say to christians only because they do not want others coming on there and bashing God or the Bible- sometimes certain questions are just biblical questions other Christians want to ask other believers in Christ....does that make sense?

your right Christians should not exclude, non belivers because they are the ones that God wants us to bring to him and give them knowledge of our love for him. Christians that practice this way are doing what they think is right . but the bible says that we must share the word with all and go down and up to all places and people of all walks of life to get to know him. so i say no they should not be excluding non believers they should be embracing them into the fold, lol and trust me there are plenty of Christians who think like me and live there lives in peace with everyone and when the time is right i will bring up the lord and all his goodness

I think the reason is that those are intended for people who are really hurting or having a crisis and do not want to be demeaned andf insulted for having their faith questioned.

Because Christians are seeking real answers, not a dozen "there is no God" responses.

Personally, when I ask for "this group only" responses, there's a reason. When you're trying to get one particular group to think about something, why is it so hard for others to accept that their response isn't needed?
