Depending on who made your system, you should be able to simply drag-and-drop any files you want to your CD burner in Windows Explorer. A pop-up box should then come up to tell you that you have files to be burned and step you through the burning process. Hope this works!

windows media player is a good device to use to burn sound and video with, its a free device that should come on ur computer if u have xp like u said
