After all, we're all entitled to opinions, and, for the time being anyway, our thoughts arent subject to prosecution. For example, I'm absolutely amazed at the number of well educated, liberal minded people I know, who have admitted they may be tempted to vote for the BNP. They all have steady, well paid jobs, and friends from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, and if you knew them, you'd assume they were slightly left wing, if anything. (If you just want to post abuse, assuming that I'M racist, please don't waste your time. Serious answers only)

I believe racism is endemic in ALL sectors of society.

The assumption that only people of white skin can be racist seems to be 'the norm'..but you don't need to be Einstein to know this is not so.

The issue I would have with people holding 'racist views', are that inevitably they spill over and infect someone else...maybe your child as a for instance could start to hold these same views because 'at home' you have the freedom of expression that you might not use in public or different company.
Your child may then as they grow mix with children whose parents hold similar views but as children they would not necessarily know that expression (however that was manifested) of racist views was illegal and wrong.

In a nut shell...you could store up trouble for yourself and those most influenced by you...even though you may not consider yourself racist (because these are private views)- if you hold them try to justify...and I think if any person thinks logically and hard...you can't hold racist views in your head and think that you aren't racist...it doesn't make sense.

Racists generally don't take in all the facts or think things through practically. An example of this is that the BNP say that they would send in all foreigners home and give them a substantial payment to leave. Now where do think this money is going to come from? That's right... you, the taxpayer. Think how much that would cost, and at the expense of what - the NHS, roads, other benefits?

Another thing they fail to take into consideration is that the British economy, like virtually every Western, Capitalist economy relies heavily on a certain amount of cheap foreign labour. How do the BNP plan to keep the economy stable when we have sent all foreign people back home? Where will the labour come from? How are they going to cover the shortage of doctors, nurses, hiospital porters etc that will arise when they carry through their plans?

Holding a racist view is not OK because that is the beginning of a slippery slope. Remember, what happened in Nazi Germany came first of all from a simple racist view, and look how that developed and led to the death of millions. Don't think for a second that it couldn't happen again.

for the Muppet who has a view on the British national party

yes the bnp would nationalise some industry. when British rail was british rail it was always on time. now companies like british gas, the train network rail track etc, are just in it for the money, they put very little back and do very little to improve services. sewage pipes owned by German companies, what a joke you might say, no its true, how can you make a profit out of sewage, by running the company into the ground and never renewing old damaged pipes, this is the case all over the UK now.

steel works being sold off to indian companies so they can canibalise what is left of this country. the country is owned by multi national companies and wil soon not be great britain. if they wanted to they could shut us down tomorow.

there are a few god people in this land that are against the dismantleing of this nation and will fight to the end to protect our herritage, culture.

just look at the dairy farmers of cheshire, being forced to close because of tesco's. tesco's would have them sell the milk at a loss, scum bags. they landscape will change forever unless we act. NOW. THE FARMERS WILL HAVE TO SELL THE LAND. it will be built on . we do not want to live in a concrete jungle.

I think that the reason for voting BNP is not overt racism as the BNP is itself not overtly racist (honestly, it isn't, I know you don't believe me but it isn't) although there are overtones to the BNP manifesto that are wrongly considered to be racist.
The BNP evolved from the National Front which believed only whites could be British. The BNP believes in inclusive nationalism which means that as long as you consider yourself British the skin enveloping those beliefs is irrelevant. This means that the BNP wants an end to special considerations for ethnic minorities, an end to enclaves wherein only sikhs or hindus or muslims etc live in isolation to the wider nation and most pressingly an end to mass uncontrolled immigration.
The BNP is genuinely tough on crime and tacitly supports the re-introduction of the death penalty and other stern measures to deal with the criminal problem and is determinedly anti-european.
The PC Brigade have for many years been ignoring the needs and wishes of indigenous whites and this group (which has actually become the minority in some areas) feel that no political voice speaks for their interests and that authority is actually working in detriment to such. You may be surprised to learn that this is spreading through all strata of white society and is beginning to take hold in Anglicised Asians and Blacks too (although neither of the latter are likely to vote BNP).
These things go in cycles. The country has swung too far left, the PC brigade are interfering far too freely with our lives and people are feeling alienated. The rise of the BNP will continue unchecked until the balance is redressed and the BNP becomes redundant.

I can hold it for 2 minutes as well ;D. And this may be confusing but I take a really huge breath in and then I hold it, and I let out a little air out of my mouth with a little opening because If I let it all go away then I'll have the urge to breath, while I'm letting it out slowly, I won't have to breathe in heavily again.

Mark,

Nobody can tell anybody how to think, right or wrong moral or immoral, what I see is that when the U.K is doing okay economically, there is no sight or word of the BNP, when the economy tailspins or threatens to do so, they jump on the Immigration bandwagon and it IS always the Immigration wagon, never any other cause, they never come out when times are good, because nobody takes any notice of them.

The facts are the European Union is expanding and with it, so is the influx of Eastern European & other nation state Immigrants, legal and illegally. European member state community immigrants actually have a legal right to move between member states, so I dont understand what all the fuss is about, Brits are moving to Bulgaria in their droves and buying up cheap properties and living it up in style ! There ya go Mark.

It depends whether you are talking legally or morally.

Legally you can beleive or say what you like. As long as you're not actually inciting violence or physically attacking people (and thereby breaking the law - as Abu Hamza found out) its your right as a citizen of a free country (UK in my case) to hold whatever views you wish.

Morally no its not "OK" to hold racist views but then so many people do hold them and there are many reasons why they hold them. Why is it considered acceptable for a black or asian person to spout hatred against white people (The Nation of Islam for example) but not the other way around?

when i was small and saw my first black woman in the street i turned to my mum and asked why the lady had a dirty face
i was told it was because that was the colour of her skin.
Nowadays its not so obvious where people come from if they are from Europe
But its now getting so we can tell them apart by the subtle changes in dress code and were beginning to notice certain facial features not noticed before
its going beyond skin deep recognition of the old days
and were now paying more attention to a persons accent than colour
its because we are feeling exploited and threatened in our own country that racism starts to breed
I've noticed more racist jokes are being told more in our schools now
this is a recipe for future trouble
controls need to be introduced if only to protect the decent law abiding people of all races here now before this gets out of control

No one even yourself can stop whats on your mind whether it is right or wrong is up to you to decide.
I think it is a good idea to put yourself in the immigrant or any person you may have a view about and ask yourself what would you do in their situation especially asylum seekers because I don't blame anyone for wanting to have a better and safer life.
I am worried about the amount of support that the BNP are attracting they have no other policies except racist ones.
I just wish and hope that all people coming to our land wanted a peaceful future and respect our way of life, it doesn't always seem that way.

you're right, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, it's just a shame that there are some people with opinions that happen to be racist. most people are probably racist to a degree, however, i don't really think it's ok to be prejudiced towards an entire race, religion, etc..
plenty of well educated people do vote bnp, its a result of the image the party portrays.. that it isn't a party for racist thugs and that it is in fact a credible political party. i personally think that's a load of rubbish, but hey, taht's my opinion. they have policies on a variety of different issues that actually reach out to a vast part of the public.. i.e things relating to pensioners, immigration, unemployment, education. but u have to read between the lines, at the end of the day, they wanna get rid of all the non whites and concentrate purely on the indigenous white people in the country.. i just think it's sad that people agree with this ideology, as much as it is important to retain the country's identity and to curb mass immigration, i think it is possible for us to have a well integrated multicultural society.
