Ladies you are going to have to explain this to me. I have only had sex w/ my new bf and my ex. I and my ex were together since junior high. My friends have had one night stands left and right some of them have slept with over 20 guys and they think that, that is okay. I think that’s disgusting. They say I’m immature because most women my age would have slept with more men by now. I don’t feel that this is a sign of immaturity but a sign of self respect and dignity. I would rather take the matter in my own hands ( at least I won’t stop until the job is done, unlike some of their one night stands, and I told them that). I feel my body is a treasure chest NOT a community chest and I treat it as such. They said that it doesn’t mean anything because it is just sex and that men are doing the same thing. I say I wouldn’t want to be with a guy who stuck his key in every lock available. If you sleep around, why? And either way why is it shocking that I don't?

It's not shocking at all. It only means you have better morals and more dignity and self respect than to have sex with everyone you come in contact with. People who sleep around with any and everyone are abusing the most wonderful gift a man or woman can give their life partner. It's demeaning and people's attitude about it today is really sad.

Who ever said that casual sex is good for relationships. Casual sex means "NO RELATIONSHIP" or at least nothing to speak of. Casual is largely spontaneous. A girl goes to a party, meets a hot guy, has a few drinks one thing leads to another. There is no plan to it, there is no way to get any kind of statistic on it because both parties walk away in the morning and forget, move on.

Sorry I'm not a lady but want to answer anyway. It sounds like you were raised with good morals and norms and have learned from these. A lot of woman are like bedspreads and lay down with men who are almost strangers to them if they either smile at then or buy them a beer. Please do not allow others to make you feel like an outcast because you are not as experienced as them. You are the kind of woman that most men are looking for if they are after a long meaning relatioship. Good luck to you and keep your morals as they are, you don't need to explain to anyone your reasoning for not being a loose lady.

You have answered your own question...you don't want to do it because of self respect and dignity. Alot of times women sleep around for self validation. To make them feel as if they are good enough. Self esteem plays a big part. So with that said do what you like and don't let others pressure you.

You have an agreement with a "friend" to meet each others "needs". You dont have to sleep around. You just know that that is the basis of your relationship. I respect you for your decision, but there comes a time when I want to hold somebody and doing it myself is just not an option. You do whats good for you. Everyone is not the same. Do not judge.

Good for you to have some self respect and morals. Do not worry about what everyone else is doing, keep doig what you are doing. Apperantly your friends have no dignity for theirselves and they will learn the hard day how hard it is to get rid of a bad reputation and you can sit back and know that you have nothing to worry about.

Your doing the right thing. Sorry to say this but your friends sound like a bunch of sluts. There are alot of diseases out there and it's not worth it to sleep around. One night stands to me are totally disgusting and the man will have no respect for you at all.

As for the women that have casual sex...I don't see a problem in it. Some women like to experiment with different guys or women even. That's their personal choice and they also shouldn't be put down for it.

You are a wise girl and I wish you the best. People in today's society see no problem with "casual sex" or a one night stand and I even know people who have an "FB"...a f**k buddy.
No one has a conscience anymore and with the mainstream media and television shoving this kind of behavior down our throats constantly is it any wonder we think this behavior is ok?

I understand where you're coming from. I've not had a one night stand. It sounds nasty to have a stranger's sweat all over you. Some people could be comfortable with this. As for your friends, encourage them to get tested every six months. Just because they're busy, you don't have to.
