Hey, my name is Jake and im curious about something, why do nice guys finish last? or so it seams.... I, as im sure you can guess
am one of the nice guys. i know that for the most part at least girls are attracted to the "bad boys" but they alwayse end up having there heart crushed by sed boys and come to the nice guys who heal there heart just so they can have it brken again by the same type of guy.. why is this? oh and thank you for ur answers

I wouldn't say that all girls are attracted to bad boys (I know I'm not). I guess alot of girls think bad boys are more spontaneous and somehow "cooler", even though most of the time they're jerks. If it makes you feel better, women that date these type of men often come to their senses when it comes time to search for real "husband" material, as bad boys don't tend to provide much stability. Girls may date bad boys, but they end up marrying the nice ones most of the time.

The only reason for the saying "nice guys finish last" is because the real true "nice" guys don't stick up for themselves, they let everyone walk all over them & let women just use them & not get mad or say anything cause they are too nice to do that. So then the girl gets bored with that and wants to go back to the bad boy that can stand up for himself, but be a jerk at the same time. As for myself and many other women, all we want is a mixture of both. Be a nice guy, thats great, but also stand up for yourself and dont let people use you cause you are too nice. But its just my opinion, been there done that, so good luck.

I think it's because most 'nice guys' come off looking like they're boring and bland on the surface. The bad boys represent danger and excitement, and to some girls, the shock value for their parents.
Sometimes you just have to wait for the right time. The 'nice guy' I'm engaged to now was a friend for 7 years before we started dating. We both agree that our lives are better for it working out like it did now. It would have been a real mess for both of us if we'd been more than friends before now.
Don't give up, you'll find a girl who appreciates you. Just remember to keep things exciting when you find her. If all she has to look forward to is Stouffers in the microwave for dinner and watching a DVD of a movie she doesn't really like, then she probably won't stick around for long. Not to say you have to plan dinner out and the latest movie every weekend, but try to find things to do that give variety to your time together.

This goes way back.. grils like the bad boy type only because they get a sense of security. Most grow up and do decide that a nice guy is better than the "bad guy type". You will find the one that has moved on and wants a nice, honest, REAL guy. Don't give up hope.

Dear Jake ,it's unbeliavable that anything that is out of rule or even against the rules or anybody who is rather strange,who looks down on others and even rude and impolite are preferred to kind, considered,polite ones .This is true for both sex.I mean if you are a kind and polite guy girls won't appreciate you at least in your early ages.But be sure when you get older they will understand what it is to have a boyfriend/husband like you.So please don't try to change..Love

Low standards.
Bad boys....end up working at Pep Boys and driving a Chevy superduty dualie that she paid for with her job at the Bank...the revenge is the kids are from her boss, the Good Guy.

I like the good guys. I think the reason girls like bad guys is they want what they can't have or in other words they are brats. Don't worry a girl will come 4 u!

Not always true. I dont really like bad guys...i can understand the excitement of them, but a nice, slightly shy, sensitive guy id the kind of guy for me.

I don't like guys who label themselves as "nice". Not all but most of them I met don't stand up for themselves and act like doormats.
I also don't like bad guys, too much work.
I prefer a guy who is self confident, speaks his mind, cares about people and never ever lets anyone take advantage of him. He has manners, is never fake and is loyal.

Basically because every girl has this dream that she can tame the wild one. She needs a challege and think that she will be that "one" that makes him settle down.
