Apparently, "any alcoholic beverage with more than 15% alcohol is quite safe from biological contamination" and Kahluah is 26.5% alcohol, so no, it won't go bad.

Besides, Kahluah is NOT a cream liqueur, despite what many here seem to believe!

So my mom has this bottle of Kahlua from her wedding in 1969. I drank some of it a few months ago. It definitely has a different taste then Kahlua fresh off the shelf...but it also definitely wasn't bad.

Liqueur never expires as long as it's sealed tightly.

Yes. When you start to see sugar crystals around the lid and neck of the bottle, it has gone off. It won't kill you, it's just nasty. Any of the "creme" liqueurs should be drunk fresh.

No, cause alcohol will kill any germs around...but, ya have to shake the bottle if its been setting for a long time...tends to settle a touch...same as Baileys Irish Creme....

After approx. 200 years, because sugar and alcohol are both potent preservatives , so don't wait to long...
