I recently saw a newlywed couple that looked like twins. It was so obvious how much they looked alike that it was almost disturbing. As for married couples looking like one another after many years of marriage, I think this may just be caused from couples picking up each other habits and mannerisms. I know my mom and dad have been married for 35 years and have many of the same facial expressions and verbal expressions as well. I guess it is true that "the two" actually DO become "one" after marriage and end up with the ability to finish one another's sentences etc.

Yes, I have. Me and my boyfriend get told that we look alike. I disagree but we get it so often it must be true. I just think we complement each other. However, my parents have been married for almost 25 years, they do not look alike. I just think that is more of a coincidence. Trust me, my boyfriend and I are not brother and sister (after almost four years we should know). But it is a complement to him because he says that I am gorgeous and I say that he is handsome.
Maybe the couple you saw have been together for a long time and that is why they look alike.

I know that one of the reasons couples start to look alike is that they tend to have more similar diet & lifestyles after marriage. But no, I haven't seen newlyweds that look alike - that would weird me out too ...

Ya! My husband and I get that all the time! We've married for 2 years and together for a total of 5. When we were dating this lady my mom knew told my mom, "I didn't know you also had a son!!" Even now that we are married, we have people telling us that we look like brother and sister. I just had someone looking at our wedding pictures and saying that.
And, to add to it, I get asked more if I am my husband's mom's daughter than my own mom's daughter!!! Weird!!!

I've ran across a few, and for a few minutes, I must admit, I wondered if they were related!!
You do hear that couples do start to look like each other the older they grow, but who knows, may be they are brother and sister??? hehehe

When you spend lots of time with someone you begin to imitate their facial expressions and start to talk alike. The similar repeated facial expressions begin cause the two people to look more alike. Also, if you believe in face reading, people who are attracted to similar personality characteristics will also be attracted to similar facial features.

Yeah me and my fiancee everybody thinks we are brother and sister. When we went to the hospital he had an ekg and the nurse told him i tell your sister to take off the stickers, then we went the second time and they called me his sister and he said no that my girlfriend and they told his mom that we look very alike. So i guess we look alike.

I guess, my fiance and I get that all the time. I think it's because we are both dark skinned. But we are not related, his mother checked. It just gets on my nerves when people say that we look like brother and sister. It makes you question your parents.

One of my sisters and her husband look like brother and sister - 20 years ago moreso than today. It's freaky. I understand narcissists marry people who look similar to them. Guess it is like looking into a different-gendered mirror! So strange.....
