So... there's this guy that has been calling / texting for the past month. We will spend the entire day texting back and forth when we are at work sometimes. Last week he invited me to go out of town for the night with him (we had a blast) and as soon as i got back home he texted to say what a great time he had. He's already told me he wants to hang out again... but I truely can't tell if he wants to be friends (with benifits) or more than that. I should also mention that I have know him for about 5 years and long ago we were friends (with benifits)... then just friends... then lost touch... and now this. AND BELIEVE ME I know how guys work as far as a friend with benifits - They usually don't try to date them after sleeping with them... the whole "thrill" of the hunt thing.

Basically, I just want to hear from a man... how do I know what a guy's intentions are???

Thanks! Be kind haha!

well you are right, its all about that, but here is the interesting thing, when you went outta town for the weekend and had a blast you didn't fool around or anything... well that sounds like just friends but with guys they could be so stone shy that they cant make moves, so your best bet is to ask him his intentions for your relationship... friends, friends w/bennies, or more... that really has to be laid out there... and i get the whole i dont know what he wants, but you might wanna ask yourself what you want, and from that you might be able to talk to him and see what he thinks for the future... but if he is about doing it again then you might wanna take him up on this offer and go figure your relationship out....

I don't believe in the friends with benefits thing. What is that...does anyone ever expect it to go somewhere when you basically have nothing to lose? I am a man and trust me as all men if someone is willing to give you sex with no real committment thats easy.

You shouldn't ask him directly. Maybe you should ask a male confidante to ask him...
Go check out a body-language book. It really helps, since men give really obvious signs about intentions...
Look at where he took you - obviously "Cahone Island" means FRIENDS...
Also, look at how he treats you: Crude humor and treating like one of the "mates" - FRIENDS...
Staring into eyes, complimenting at how beautiful you look and treating you like a lady are great examples of INTERESTED...

Don't ask him, if he is dishonest he'll lie anyway. If you interested in him ask him if you want children, if he expects you to work, you have to find about 10 thing you like doing together besides sex. Or did I misread the question you sound like you just want to be friends.

Well... if this were me I'd just have you ask me.

HOWEVER, seeing how you've already gone through this things are definitely different for you. Take one day to tease him, he may spill the beans

Just ask him what his intentions are?
Ask him if he is looking for a relationship as it is something that you have thought about.
