LOL prayer has NEVER been proven. it is no more then basing your hope on a random chance of probability. if prayer worked why dont you guys pray for the all the homeless to be homed, all the starving to be fed. stop being selfish and praying only for people you know and pray for the rest of the world? the bible says not to pray in the open so that everyone can see you, but to pray in a quiet place.

I am not sure if you were serious or just being sarcastic. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. The scriptures state, " When two or more are gathered in my name, there I am also." I have seen many miracles happen through prayer and healing prayer. I myself dodged luekemia years ago and to this day I believe that God heard and healed me.

My answer to that is.. why are you asking other people to pray for you? Aren't you capable of praying for yourself? And wouldn't god look down on a person who prays for someone else because they're asked to rather than simply out of the goodness of their heart without being asked?

And, that being said, why would god answer a prayer that was given only because you were asked?

Seriously, I don't think people think about this stuff before they do it. It's hypocritical and foolish.

Great I nominate you for the Nobel prize in Medicine, how would you like the money, cash or directly into your bank account?

Edit:

Ok a couple of double blind studies and a few peer reviewed papers in Nature and you'll be a shoo-in.

And while I may not buy into it, those are the one group of people that I won't say anything antagonistic towards. They have enough crap going on, to turn to a bunch of strangers on the internet.
