The problem with wine, is that it has alot of calories. I am an addict, and I have noticed myself gaining weight when I drink it consistently.

Yes, it's fattening.
You don't see a lot of skinny winos!
There are lots of calories in wines. Alcohol has calories, sugar has calories, and all the crap you eat while drinking the wine has calories. Drink a couple glasses of wine and eat some cheese, and you packed in 500+ calories real quickly. Of course, at the time you won't care very much.

It has quite a few calories in it. But it is good for you at the same time. You will be fine as long as you aren't drinking 2 bottles a day!!

yes.depending on how much you drink it has just as many calories as grape juice.1-2 cups a day is probably fine but any more and it could put on pounds

Just a little is ok but if you drowned your sorrows everynight it could pack on a little extra padding...
