I think my best friend likes me, and i want to like her back ,but i don't know if she's gay or not(this question was asked by the person sitting next to me)?

1) Just ask her flat out.
2) Is the person who is sitting right next to you wondering if you are gay? If so, maybe she is trying to find out if you are gay by asking you if you can post a question for her.

J/K. This is the eternal question. It's always hard to take the plunge and ask somebody directly if s/he has "romantic" feelings for you, but even harder if you're gay and you have to figure out whether the person swings your way...lol. But I think the best general advice is just to ask. Tact is everything, but you have to put yourself out a little if you want to know. You should be able to do it in a way that doesn't freak her out and won't ruin your friendship if she says no.

So why do you feel you have to find an answer? If you are not gay, it's none of your business. If you are, and the other person is, I'm sure they will give hints about their interests.
If you are gay I beg you don't make a pass. I was highly offended when a guy I knew for about a month and liked because we shared a lot of interests made a move on me.
I thought he liked me because of our common interests when all he wanted was my body. It revolted me.

Only real way to find out is to ask her. Say something like, you like gay people and you'd hook up with a girl if she asked you then kinda joke around and ask her if she's gay. if she says no, you can bust out laughing and say you were joking around.
