well it would take 3 hours from 7-10. minus the 7 seconds to strike 7 so 2 hours 53 seconds, plus ten seconds to strike 10 so, 3 hours 3 seconds

10.5 seconds! It takes 7 seconds to strike.First strike at 0 second, and then remaing 6 strokes have taken 7 seconds means each stroke was at 7/6 secs gap. To strike 10 strokes, as in previouis case leaving the first stroke , which will be at 0 second the remaing 9 strokes will take 7/6x9 =10.5 seconds !
